DID YOU KNOW?
Eighty percent (80%), or 4 out of 5 households, in our region depend upon private wells for drinking water? The Environmental Protection Agency recommends that household water be tested annually to ensure the well is free from harmful bacteria and nitrates. Think of it like bringing your family to their yearly preventative health screenings, an annual well test for bacteria and nitrates is an essential part of maintaining good health.
Keynote speakers include RHA Municipal Outreach Coordinator Tracy Gordon, RHA Well Test Program Manager Samantha LaRocca and AmeriCorps Central Region Source Water Protection Ambassador Sheyla Casco. The topics of discussion will focus among other subjects the review of the 2024 Annual Township Well Test Report and an overview of what contaminants residents should be aware of.
