New Landing Page Provides Residents All-in-One Access to First Responder Organizations Proudly Serving the Township

RARITAN TWP., N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The Township of Raritan updated one of its website landing pages to include all the emergency response teams that serve the community.

Earlier this month as part of the Township’s initiative to solidify its online presence, the township upgraded its web domain to a “.gov.” Now, changes continue to roll out as the Police landing page (https://www.raritantwpnj.gov/departments/police) received a revamp to include all the Township’s emergency service organizations.

The new page provides access to information on all four of the Township’s emergency service organizations and their websites:

Raritan Township Police Department (RTPD);
Raritan Township Office of Emergency Management (OEM);
Raritan Township Fire Company (RTFC); and
Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad (FRFARS) (a/k/a “49 Rescue”).

Township Administrator Karen Gilbert said: “It’s important for our residents to know who keeps our community safe every day. They ensure the well-being of the township and our residents with selfless courage and steadfast resolve. In addition, our residents should know that our Office of Emergency Management and the Raritan Township Fire Company are 100% volunteer, and ‘49 Rescue’ is a combination of volunteer and career Emergency Medical personnel. Our updated landing page reflects that while all four organizations provide a unique service, they all have the same mission: being a first responder for the Heart of Hunterdon County and our neighboring municipalities.”

The new landing page can be found at: https://www.raritantwpnj.gov/departments/emergency-services. The page is also located in the “Department” drop-down menu under “Police/Emergency Services” and on the FREE My Raritan Township mobile app available in the Apple App and Google Play stores.
