goHunterdon Teaches Fun-at-Four Kids About Importance of Helmets and Pedaling Safely
RARITAN TWP., N.J. (Hunterdon County) — To encourage bicycle safety and promote awareness of New Jersey’s Bicycle Helmet Law this summer, goHunterdon visited Fun-at-Four campers at Copper Hill Elementary School to teach them about having “Safety First,” Jul. 18.
Codified under N.J. Rev. Stat. § 39:4-10.1 (2024), the state law requires all riders under the age of 17 to wear a helmet when using a bicycle, scooter, or skateboard. During a brief informative safety presentation, campers learned key safety tips including:
- Always stopping at stop signs 🚦;
- Riding with the flow of traffic 🛣️; and
- The importance of wearing a helmet every time they ride 🪖.
