TOWNSHIP PRIDE: Annual Community Day Showcases Variety of Organizations

RARITAN TWP., N.J. (Hunterdon County) — On Sept. 27, more than forty non-profits and food vendors demonstrated how our local organizations come together during the Township’s 7^th Annual Community Day at Lenape Park!

People of all ages enjoyed a DJ/emcee playing tunes, a petting zoo, inflatable attractions, sand art, lawn games, food trucks, a beer garden, and various demonstrations at this family-oriented event.

Local non-profit organizations along with employees from several Township departments and first responders all participated to engage with members of our community and share information on what they do.

The Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad, a/k/a "49 Rescue," conducted a vehicle extrication demonstration using hydraulic rescue tools and gave tours of their arsenal of emergency vehicles.

Sports teams, service clubs, charitable organizations, school-related groups, recreational groups, cheerleaders, and crafters were amongst those who attended.
