TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Scheduled Maintenance on Barley Sheaf Road Begins 06/30/2025

RARITAN TWP., N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The Township of Raritan: Department of Public Works (“DPW”) will be conducting road maintenance Monday, Jun. 30.

DPW road crews will be working to pave the asphalt leveling course (scratch course) in preparation for oil & chip (chip seal) treatment operations, contributing to a more effective and long-lasting pavement surface. The project will encompass Barley Sheaf Road, from Voorhees Corner Road to Old York Road.

Repairs are expected to be completed in or around ten (10) days, weather conditions permitting.  

While there will be one lane OPEN to traffic during the construction period, residents and commuters may experience delays. Drive safely through work zones, follow the directions of traffic control personnel, allocate extra travel time and plan to use alternate routes.
