TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Scheduled Closure of County Bridge Q-48 12/08/2025
RARITAN TWP., N.J. (Hunterdon County) — The Engineering Division of Hunterdon County is advising residents that County Bridge Q-48 located on Kuhl Road over a Branch of the Neshanic River will be CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC beginning on or about Dec. 8.
The County’s qualified contractor will be conducting reconstruction operations. County officials project the bridge to be closed for approximately seven (7) months. A detour for Kuhl Road will be posted.
This project was originally scheduled to begin approximately mid-to-late Oct. 2025 but due to delays in utility relocations, construction is now anticipated to begin the 2nd week in December.
During the construction period, residents and commuters may experience delays. Drive safely and reduce speeds through work zones, follow the directions and posted detours issued by traffic control personnel, allocate extra travel time and plan to use alternate routes.
